Hey all, I have great news if you are one of the many Pokémon Go players (including myself) who have difficulties with their gps mid-way through a gym battle.

It absolutely sucks when you are trying to defeat these gyms when suddenly there is a random connection loss despite you not moving anywhere and then cannot start the battle again for a little while.

Locked out for 10 minutes was pretty rough, considering we have a lot of other Pokémon to catch.

According to some trainers online the lockout has now been reduced to 3 minutes instead of 10 minutes, yes there is still a lockout but its good to see its not as long anymore.

This is fantastic for trainers with dodgy Internet connections or with a lot of interferences near their gyms.

Another great feature which players have started to notice is that you no longer get locked out during a fight if an internet or gps connection is lost, instead the app now waits until the end of the fight and then if there is still no connection, you will be locked out entering the next fight.

Yes that is still annoying but at least it gives players trying to take over gyms more time for their phones to start working normally again.

This feature is fantastic to see and despite it only being a small change, I’m now sure that all Pokémon Go players will appreciate the change in the gym lockout system.

Have you noticed the change? Is it for the better? Let us know in the comments below.
